Where is the American Dream?

Does the American Dream exist in an AI-obsessed world? AI toolmen will say there has never been more opportunity. They’ll also say millions of people will lose their jobs to AI.

What even is the American Dream? Is it not a social contract between America’s workers, the govt and corporations? The promise that every American can have a stable, well-paying and secure job. access to affordable housing, healthcare and upward mobility.

Yet we are not spending hundreds of billions of dollars on housing, healthcare for all or job security. Instead, we’re spending it on AI, a spurious technology that seems to be an excuse for technocrats to chase their wildest sci-fi dreams.

We no longer have “The American Dream”, we have “The Technocratic Dream.” which is more of a right wing dystopian nightmare. One where rich tech bros are free to unleash their creations without accountability or limits.

A nightmare where their goals do not have to align with what is best for society or the masses, but instead serves their pursuits of transhumanism and monopolies, economic and political.
